The Steeplechase Cancer Center has
taken a team approach to cancer care, bringing together doctors from a variety
of specialties to establish screening and treatment guidelines to ensure an
integrated plan of care.
Care delivered at the center is overseen by three
multidisciplinary institutes -- a site-specific team of specialists, medical oncologists, oncologic surgeons, radiation
oncologists, radiologists, primary care physicians, pathologists, medical
physicists, radiation therapists, certified oncology nurses, social workers,
case managers, nutritionists, pharmacists and pastoral care staff.
The team continually updates treatment protocols, ensuring that
the center is providing the most advanced care to improve patients’ quality of
